Carmel City Center Sweet Tooth Tuesday event series continues!
On Tuesday, September 18 bring the kids back to Carmel City Center from 3:30 – 5 p.m. for the second Sweet Tooth Tuesday featuring the Carmel Fire Buffs and a return visit from “Fun with Frannie”! There will be cookies from Hubbard & Cravens and mini cupcakes from Holy Cow, Cupcakes! (while supplies last).
The Carmel Fire Buffs will be bringing a few antique fire trucks for kids and adults to tour and to learn of the history that each truck brings with it.
“Fun with Frannie” will be applying airbrush temporary tattoos at Sweet Tooth Tuesday! Their airbrush tattoos create fun by using an airbrush, stencil, and water based paint, which is FDA compliant, and contains only skin safe ingredients. Tattoos, that are in many fun design choices, may be applied to the face, arms, and legs, and are easily removed with mild soap and water.
The event is free and will be held in the breezeway between Holy Cow, Cupcakes! and Eggshell Bistro.
Surface parking is available on plaza level (accessible from City Center Drive), in the underground garage (accessible from Rangeline Road) and along Veterans Way located to the south of Carmel City Center.
Dogs and cats have always been more than just pets; they are very special members of the family. To show how much we appreciate our beloved family members the week of June 10th -16th has been dedicated to them as National Pet Appreciation week. Although every day of the week our pets should be shown lots of appreciation, it is nice to have a week for pet owners to remember to really give their furry friends some love. Many might not know that Carmel City Center is a pet friendly environment, so during Pet Appreciation Week we wanted to show how much we truly do appreciate you and your tail-wagging friends with some special treats when they come to visit with you.
Now with their new outdoor seating available on the patio, divvy will welcome pets out there and will have dog bowls full of water for your dog to enjoy while basking in the warm weather. Let’s not forget when you bring your dog during National Pet Appreciation Week they will receive a treat while you eat.
Eggshell Bistro will be having half off their dog biscotti’s from one of the top ten bakery’s in the nation, The Enrico Biscotti Co. from Pittsburgh, PA to celebrate Pet Appreciation Week. Flavors like bacon and peanut butter is amongst the favorite of dogs and humans as well!

A fresh, new option for breakfast just opened its doors in Carmel City Center. Owner, Larry Hanes, is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and an art director/designer by profession. According to Larry, “Eggshell Bistro’s culinary style can be best described as ‘global fusion’—healthy, rustic, fresh and often creative. A unique range of culinary twists are displayed by its namesake—the egg…with supporting roles from sides, salads, soups and sandwiches. The “quintessential quiche” and freshly squeezed-to-order organic orange juice have already been receiving rave reviews and acquiring a dedicated following. A non-automatic espresso experience, siphon coffee bar and Kyoto cold-drip coffee system…paired with a palette of patisserie options, will further delight your senses.”
Eggshell Bistro’s chef has worked at French Laundry and Bouchon in Napa Valley, which are both Thomas Keller restaurants and considered two of the finest restaurants in the world. In Indianapolis, he has worked at Taste Café. Larry created Eggshell Bistro’s menu based on the way he has cooked for last 20 years, and after passionately travelling around the last two years to some of the major food-oriented cities in the U.S. and abroad for additional culinary research. The menu items have been influenced by the cuisine of France, Italy, and even China, just to name a few.
Eggshell Bistro will initially be open from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., plus some early evening hours, for special Palladium and community events. There is no doubt that Eggshell Bistro will be a favorite dining spot before attending world-class performances at the Palladium, however, a visit to Eggshell Bistro is its own cultural experience. Its bistro tables and chairs are authentic—purchased at auction and from antiquity purveyors, they originally resided in Parisian cafés. Other urban European artifacts will also grace its décor. Larry describes the atmospheric vibe as “a culmination of unique vintage-industrialism, modernism, and functionalism…all blended with warm touches in a very ‘London loft-like’ way.”
