Sweet Tooth Tuesday at Carmel City Center

Carmel City Center Sweet Tooth Tuesday event series continues!

On Tuesday, September 18 bring the kids back to Carmel City Center from 3:30 – 5 p.m. for the second Sweet Tooth Tuesday featuring the Carmel Fire Buffs and a return visit from “Fun with Frannie”! There will be cookies from Hubbard & Cravens and mini cupcakes from Holy Cow, Cupcakes! (while supplies last).

The Carmel Fire Buffs will be bringing a few antique fire trucks for kids and adults to tour and to learn of the history that each truck brings with it.

“Fun with Frannie” will be applying airbrush temporary tattoos at Sweet Tooth Tuesday! Their airbrush tattoos create fun by using an airbrush, stencil, and water based paint, which is FDA compliant, and contains only skin safe ingredients. Tattoos, that are in many fun design choices, may be applied to the face, arms, and legs, and are easily removed with mild soap and water.

The event is free and will be held in the breezeway between Holy Cow, Cupcakes! and Eggshell Bistro.

Surface parking is available on plaza level (accessible from City Center Drive), in the underground garage (accessible from Rangeline Road) and along Veterans Way located to the south of Carmel City Center.

Winter Market at Carmel City Center

Beginning November 19th, a Winter Market will be held each Saturday at Carmel City Center featuring 15-20 vendors from the Carmel Farmers Market. It will take place every Saturday through March 17, 2012 from 9 a.m. to noon (with the exception of December 24th and December 31st). The community is invited to attend this weekly public event.

The Winter Market will be held in a storefront at 719 Hanover Place on the interior of Carmel City Center, located on the southwest corner of City Center Drive and Rangeline Road. Surface parking is available on plaza level (accessible from City Center Drive) and in the underground garage.

Currently, the following vendors from the Carmel Farmers Market are confirmed to participate in the full season of the Winter Market: Amazing Potato Chip Company, Becker Farms, Chocolate for the Spirit, Grabow Orchard & Bakery, Happy Everything, Homestead Heritage, Lena’s Mediterranean Kitchen, Phelps Family Farms and Mission Coffee. In addition, How Sweet It Is, Norman Mullet Farms and Viking Lamb are confirmed for a partial season. Additional applications continue to be received and processed. The Winter Market at Carmel City Center is being presented by Pedcor Companies with the assistance from its event partners: the Carmel Farmers Market, City of Carmel and Current in Carmel.

Kicking off a new season in Carmel City Center

The new performance season has kicked off in Carmel City Center. In the first week, Tony Bennett delivered a sold out performance and the following weekend was the first time entertainment took place in all three venues (the Palladium, Tarkington and Studio Theater) in the same evening.

The excitement continues with a star-studded lineup coming this fall and spring including Yo-Yo Ma, Wynton Marsalis, Dwight Yoakam, Bill Cosby and more. Some of the best local arts ensembles are also calling the Center for the Performing Arts their home including Actors Theatre of Indiana, Carmel Repertory Theatre, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and Indiana Wind Symphony. Since its opening in January 2010, the Center has attracted patrons from more than 20 states.

Soon, Carmel City Center will be the perfect pre and post performance destination. In November, three additional restaurants will be joining Holy, Cow Cupcakes!, which has been open in Carmel City Center since July. Divvy, a sharing plates restaurant from the owners of Woody’s Library Restaurant, is sure to be a dining experience to “sip, savor and share” with friends. Eggshell Bistro, primarily a breakfast and lunch café, will stay open late and offer special menus on evenings with performances. Mangia!, which is known for its delicious northern Italian cuisine, will have an expanded wine list in its new location along with ample outdoor seating on its adjacent piazza.

Holy Cow, Cupcakes!

This summer and fall, even more options are being added to the “play” options of Carmel City Center. Holy Cow, Cupcakes! is now open at 61 W. City Center Drive.

In addition to its renowned cupcake creations, Holy Cow, Cupcakes! has expanded its offerings in its new location to include cookies, croissants, danishes and other baked goods as well as coffee and espresso drinks made from Metropolis Coffee of Chicago. It also has a Wi-Fi lounge with tables and couches so that customers can dine-in with their coffee and baked goods. Visit for more information.

Four additional restaurants will be coming to Carmel City Center this fall: Divvy, Eggshell Bistro, Hubbard & Cravens, and Mangia!. They will be joined by retail and service offerings including Addendum Gallery, Brides of Carmel, Daphney Allen Skincare, The Next Step Fitness and Uber Boutique.

Stay tuned for more details about the new businesses coming soon.
