Holy Cow, Cupcakes! has been in business in Carmel for the past four years. It grew from owner Karen von Kamecke Sutton’s passion for baking. She, along with her husband, Sean, started Holy Cow, Cupcakes! with a booth at the Carmel Farmers Market and grew their loyal following through the market and special orders for events. Holy Cow, Cupcakes! will be relocating to Carmel City Center from its present location on Rangeline Road and will expand its offerings to include cookies, croissants, danishes and other baked goods. With two pastry chefs on staff, the sky’s the limit.
In its new location in Carmel City Center, Holy Cow, Cupcakes! will also offer coffee and espresso drinks from Metropolis Coffee Roastery in Chicago (it is the only store in Indy to carry Metropolis). It will also have a Wi-Fi lounge with tables and couches so that customers can dine-in with their coffee and baked goods. The new location also has an area that can be sectioned off for parties or showers. Its hours will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It will stay open later on evenings when events are taking place at the Palladium.
When asked what sets Holy Cow, Cupcakes! apart from the competition, Karen states, “all our cupcakes are made in-house from local and organic ingredients, whenever possible. The cupcake is the center of my universe…I see every cupcake to make sure it meets a certain standard before it leaves the door.” She also credits her fantastic, helpful staff for the store’s success. “They have adopted the same pride and passion as I have for what they are doing and it shows,” said Karen.
Holy Cow, Cupcakes! is now open.
