On Saturday, July 13, A Formal Affair will be holding Grand Opening Event in its store beginning at 9 a.m. with early bird door busters and discounts. The event festivities will take place throughout the day with a live fashion show from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m., and refreshments, free makeovers and free makeup applications beginning at 7 p.m.

A Formal Affair is a one-stop boutique dress shop that offers its clients a variety elegant dresses at many price points. A Formal Affair’s evening collection is appropriate for every age and carries special occasion dresses including prom, pageants, Mother of the Bride, Black Tie or just an evening out. 14 Districts Weekend Opening Soon!

 

14 Districts Weekend is opening a pop-up shop in Carmel City Center!

Carrying weekend wear offering casual, easy, relaxed apparel and accessories for women which will be sure to attract anyone seeking one-of-a-kind pieces to set them apart from the rest.

14 Districts Weekend will open its doors in Carmel City Center on Wednesday, July 3.

Opening the second store in the 14 Districts family, owner Rebecca Hanson wanted to create a relaxed, casual space that clients could find fashionable, but casual apparel from their favorite designers.

“My vision for 14 Districts Weekend is to create a relaxed, casual space with relaxed, easy apparel and accessories,” said Rebecca. “Many clients have asked for “throw on and go” pieces – and this is precisely what 14 Districts Weekend offers.”

14 Districts Weekend will carry clothing lines such as Calypso St. Barth, Joe’s Jeans, Clu, LA Made, White, Cocobelle and Monrow. 14 Districts Weekend will carry quite a few collections from the west coast to bring the relaxed, easy feel of dressing in style that is super prevalent in beach towns like Malibu and Santa Barbara here to Carmel.

14 Districts, located on West Main Street in Carmel’s Art & Design District, will continue to carry the brands that clients have grown to love including Tibi, Raoul, Yoana Baraschi, Clu and Angela Caputi. Polleo Systems Expanding and Creating New Jobs

Cloud computing and strategic technology servicer, Polleo Systems, announced plans to expand its Carmel City Center headquarters, creating up to 36 new jobs by 2016. The company also plans to invest $2.5 million to expand its cloud platform.

Founded in 2011 by Indiana native Talbott Sumners, Polleo Systems provides cloud computing and strategic technology services for small and medium-sized businesses. The company, which is also opening an additional facility in Orlando, Fla., was recently named a 2013 ‘TechPoint Mira Awards’ finalist in the category of IT/Tech Service Excellence and Innovation.

“The decision to continue our growth in Indiana is highlighted by the state’s commitment to small businesses and the opportunities that the state makes available to support our development,” said Talbott Sumners, president of Polleo Systems. “We feel that Indiana welcomes the high-tech community and companies like Polleo Systems.”

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Polleo Systems, Inc. up to $300,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $40,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. The city of Carmel also supports this project.

“We are thrilled about the expansion and addition of new jobs at Polleo Systems’ current facility in Carmel City Center,” said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard. “The city realizes a long term gain through local investment and job creation in redevelopment areas such as City Center. Polleo Systems’ decision to invest and expand in this location demonstrates exactly the type of economic impact the city anticipated for Carmel and the region.”
