Join Hubbard & Cravens for a Wine Tasting Event featuring Knapsack Wines on Tuesday, May 13 from 5-7 p.m.

About Knapsack Wines

Taking the path less traveled, Knapsack Wines sources outstanding domestic and international wines for the Indiana restaurant and retail trade. We are not a retailer, and cannot sell our wines directly to the public. However, we will work closely with select retailers to ensure that orders for our products can be fulfilled within a reasonable time.

Surprisingly, even today, there are still probably more great wines not available in the Indiana market than are currently represented here. We at Knapsack Wines are doing our best to remedy this situation. With the explosion of nationally recognized chefs and restaurateurs in our state, along with the increasingly sophisticated palates of Hoosier food and wine lovers, more than ever a niche exists for wonderful, independently-produced wines.

In establishing our objectives, we have decided to only represent producers who adhere, where possible, to the principles of sustainable, organic or bio-dynamic viticulture. There are always going to be exceptional circumstances, when vintage conditions may force growers  to temporarily modify their methods, but this will be our general rule.

The wine tasting featuring Knapsack Wines will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Hubbard & Cravens location at Carmel City Center. Guests will taste an array of eight different bio-dynamic and sustainable red and white wines from farms located in France, New Zealand and Austria. Along with the wine tasting, Hubbard & Cravens will provide light hors d’oeuvres for guests to try with the each wine. Guests of the event will also have the opportunity to buy bottles of wine that will cost from $12-$20. The price per person for the event is $20 and reservations are required.

Hubbard & Cravens is located on the interior of Carmel City Center, located on the southwest corner of Range Line Road and City Center Drive (click here for map). Surface parking is available on plaza level (accessible from City Center Drive), in the underground garage (accessible from Range Line Road) and along Veterans Way located to the south of Carmel City Center.

Hubbard & Cravens will be hosting a Wine & Chocolate Tasting on Thursday, December 19 from 7-8 p.m. Pairing four select wines with organic handmade chocolates the tasting will feature chocolates from Chocolatier Joann Hofer of XCHOCOL’ART, guests of the event will enjoy a night of learning the delightful pairings! The cost is $35 per person and space is limited.

Matt the Miller’s Tavern at Carmel City Center will be hosting its annual Holiday Brunch on Sunday, December 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

 

Visitors to Matt the Miller’s will enjoy the restaurant’s traditional Sunday Brunch, a visit from Santa Claus and treats for the kids. Santa will be happy to pose for pictures, so don’t forget to bring the camera!

 

In addition to the holiday brunch, Matt The Miller’s Tavern will be hosting a toy drive to benefit the RTV6 Toy Drive and encourage guests to bring a new, unwrapped toy for kids ages newborn to 12 years of age. Guests will be given a gift certificate to use on a future visit to Matt the Miller’s Tavern for each new toy donated.

The Sunday Brunch is $16.95 for adults, $7.95 for kids 5 to 10, free for kids 4 and under with a paying adult. The brunch features traditional breakfast favorites consisting of a made-to-order omelet station, fresh Belgian waffles, salads, assorted Flatbreads, various Chef specialties, fresh fruit, pastries and more. Matt the Miller’s also offers a Bloody Mary Bar and Coffee Bar that guests might enjoy for an additional charge.

Carmel Tailoring will be hosting its Annual Holiday Trunk Show on Wednesday, November 20 and you’re invited!

The event will be hosted at Matt The Miller’s Tavern from 6-9 p.m. with free drinks from 6-8 p.m., free appetizers, custom suiting, gift cards and event a dress shirt drawing.

During the trunk show, Carmel Tailoring will be offering samples of men’s & women’s custom suiting and shirts from Ready Made, Made to Measure and Bespoke shirts and suits. Zenith, Dormeuil, Loro Piana, Derbry are just a few examples of the featured fabrics that will be present at the trunk show as well as an assortment of Gladson ties!

Also during the event, guests will be able to put together a virtual suit design that will be built right before their eyes according to their preference.
