In The “Center” of Carmel’s Best

Carmel City Center’s location is central to Carmel’s best offerings. It is the home of the Center for the Performing Arts with the Monon Greenway intersecting the project site. The Carmel Farmers Market is relocating to the Center Green in Carmel City Center this spring.  Visitors to the area also have easy access to the Carmel Arts & Design District located just a half mile north of Carmel City Center. The many hotels on the Meridian Corridor are in close proximity to Carmel City Center and a boutique hotel is planned for a future phase of the development.

Visitors to Carmel City Center can enjoy music and theatrical entertainment, outdoor summer festivals and access to Carmel’s top attractions, with even more to come. Carmel City Center’s residences and office space opened in summer 2010. The phase I restaurants and retail are scheduled to open in summer/fall 2011. The opening restaurant and retail lineup will be announced in late spring.

• The Center for the Performing Arts is located in the heart of Carmel City Center. Since celebrating the grand opening of the Palladium concert hall in January, the Center for the Performing Arts has already become an inviting gathering place for the community. In each of the three performance venues, the Center provides a wide variety of programming. Dance companies will perform one evening with jazz presentations staging concerts the following day.
• The ever-popular Monon Greenway intersects the Carmel City Center project and connects it to many of the city’s best amenities, including the Carmel Arts & Design District and Central Park. Formerly the Monon Railroad, the Greenway serves walkers, runners, bicyclists, rollerbladers and nature enthusiasts. It runs 15.7 miles from 10th Street in Indianapolis to 146th Street in Carmel. Carmel maintains the 5.2 mile portion that resides within its borders.
• The Carmel Farmers Market will be opening its 2011 season on the Center Green in Carmel City Center. With more than 60 vendors each Saturday, the market is expected to draw 70,000 visitors to Carmel City Center over the course of its season from May 21^st through October 29^th.
• The Carmel Arts & Design District is located just a half mile north of Carmel City Center. It is home to more than 100 businesses, including art galleries, antique dealers, restaurants, boutiques, creative service providers and an eclectic variety of specialty retail stores. It is also home to the Indiana Design Center.  The Carmel Arts & Design District is quickly becoming one of the Midwest’s premier settings for the arts and design industry.
